More than half of adults in Switzerland use TWINT. On an online shop, its absence shows: baskets abandoned at checkout, especially on mobile.
How it works for the customer
At checkout, a QR code is displayed (or the app opens directly on the phone). The customer confirms in TWINT, the shop receives confirmation instantly and the order goes out.
Through which provider
TWINT can’t be integrated on its own: we go through a payment provider that combines TWINT, cards and sometimes invoicing. Some are Swiss, others European; fees range from 1.3 to 3% per transaction plus a few centimes. The choice depends on your volume and the other payment methods you want.
What it costs
Transaction fees are charged by the payment provider, not by the agency. The integration itself is included in our online shop packages.
What it changes
- Fewer abandoned baskets on mobile
- A payment method seen as Swiss and secure
- Simple refunds from the dashboard
In short: TWINT is essential for selling to Swiss customers. Our online shops integrate it alongside cards and invoice payment, Swiss VAT included.
